This delightful family was referred to the foundation by child passenger safety technician, Lisa Sheppard who had met the family and seen their need for high weight capacity harnessing seats that the foundation donates. On this occasion, we donated two Britax Regents to the family to keep their beautiful girls safe. The vehicle had lap belts only and no headrests, meaning the children needed to be seated in harnessing seats. We were thrilled to be able to work together with Lisa to keep this family safe. The girls are 5 and 8 years old and both 55lbs. They will have a good amount of useage from these seats.
Each seat the foundation donates costs approximately $200. We have a waiting list of ~100 families at any given time - all consisting of children who are at risk whilst they await our ability to assist.
